An exciting opportunity to join a global healthcare business developing innovative medical technologies supporting Women's Health and Fertility solutions. This is a hands-on R&D engineering role focused on the design, development and improvement of advanced electro-mechanical medical devices. Candidates MUST already be based in Cornwall or willing to relocate to Cornwall at their own expense.

The Role:

  • You'll join a collaborative R&D team working on next-generation medical devices, supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Design and development of electrical and electronic systems
    • Circuit schematic design and PCB layout (Altium or similar)
    • Verification & validation testing of medical devices
    • EMC & electrical safety compliance (IEC 60601)
    • Hardware/software integration and debugging
    • Prototype development, testing and troubleshooting
    • Technical documentation, protocols and reports
    • Cross-functional collaboration with global engineering teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree qualified in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar
  • Experience in electronic design within medical devices or regulated industries
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design experience
  • PCB design experience using Altium or similar tools
  • Experience with verification testing and design documentation
  • Hands-on engineering mindset with prototyping and debugging skills
  • Knowledge of DFMA and product development processes
  • Firmware development experience highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
