Join a growing nuclear business consultancy as a Senior Consultant (PSA) and play an integral role in shaping the company's future. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, motivated, and established Probabilistic Safety Assessor.
Salary Range: £65,000 per annum - £80,000 + Benefits Package.
Location: Hybrid/Remote, with the base in Bristol, England, United Kingdom.
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid model, splitting time between working from home, client sites, and the office.
We are seeking an expert with particular experience in leading the development of PSA for Civil or Naval Nuclear applications. Our belief is in providing straightforward, high-quality, good-value consultancy to clients in safety-critical industries. The successful candidate will help use knowledge and expertise to develop a safer and more sustainable future.
Responsibilities
- Model Development: Develop Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) models.
- Team Leadership: Lead PSA work executed by junior staff members and contractors.
- Safety Arguments: Use PSA techniques to provide risk-informed safety arguments that support design, change, commissioning, and operational safety.
- Client Management: Provide ongoing PSA model management and facilitated implementation in customer environments; collaboration with clients and partner organisations; liaise with Regulators as necessary.
- Assurance & Review: Support the development of safety cases and risk management plans; perform independent safety assurance reviews; deliver periodic safety reviews of systems/facilities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Educated to degree level (or equivalent work experience) preferably in a related technical discipline.
- Technical Tools: Strong experience with mandatory PSA tools such as Reliability Workbench and RiskSpectrum.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of Nuclear Authorising Conditions and/or Licensing Conditions.
- Leadership: Ability and willingness to lead and develop others.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong customer focus and the ability to develop creative commercial strategies for successful contracting of new work.
- Professional Status: Chartered Status with the UK Engineering Council.
- Experience: UK based Consultancy experience.

- Nationality: You must be a sole UK national in order to apply, due to the nature of the work.
- Clearance: Required to undergo pre-employment screening and satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
