Are you a Naval Architect with a strong background in hydrodynamics, ship performance, or Paramarine modelling looking to support cutting-edge defence and maritime programmes? This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects involving manoeuvring, stability, seakeeping, resistance, propulsion, and hydrodynamic performance assessment using a combination of industry-standard and bespoke simulation tools.

Working as part of a highly collaborative technical team, you will provide specialist Naval Architecture expertise and hydrodynamic analysis support to defence customers across a range of maritime platforms. The role will particularly suit individuals with experience using Paramarine, hydrodynamic modelling tools, or numerical simulation methods to assess vessel behaviour and performance.

You will contribute to both technical delivery and customer engagement activities, supporting the development of innovative engineering solutions across maritime and submarine programmes.

  • Conduct Naval Architecture and hydrodynamic assessments for surface ships and submarines
  • Support analysis activities relating to:
  • Analyse and interpret technical data to support engineering recommendations and customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to define and deliver technical work packages
  • Contribute to bid support, planning activities, and technical task estimation

Strong background in Naval Architecture, hydrodynamics, or maritime engineering

Experience assessing ship or submarine performance characteristics

Good understanding of vessel stability, seakeeping, manoeuvring, or propulsion analysis

Experience with data analysis and programming tools such as MATLAB or Python
