OverviewWe are looking to recruit a Building Surveyor based in the West Midlands area on behalf of a successful local private practice firm. Typical duties cover Dilapidation Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Building Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis Reporting, Maintenance Plans; work in relation to historic buildings will also form part of the day-to-day duties and in addition managing larger complex projects which vary in size.
Base pay rangeBuilding Surveyor, BirminghamSalary level circa £55,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance, Health Care, Pension, Bonus
Responsibilities
Produce Description of Works, prepare full Tender Documents and carry out the role of Contract Administrator, while managing reinstatement works on site and liaising with key stakeholders.
Work with contractors to receive proposals and contribute to project management and client relationships.
Manage delivery of Dilapidation Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Building Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis Reporting, and Maintenance Plans; contribute to work related to historic buildings.
Lead larger complex projects as required.
Qualifications and experience
Broad range of surveying experience with ability to work under minimal supervision and direction.
Focus on developing client relationships and taking autonomy for specific instructions.
Relevant degree in building surveying and chartership to the RICS.
