Brief
Shift Mechanical Engineer needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Shift Mechanical Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of ventilation, pumps, compressors, boilers, medical gases, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. City and Guilds/NVQ levels 2 and 3 in a Mechanical discipline etc. - and have a keen interest in Mechanical Engineering. If you have commercial experience in a healthcare setting that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Shift Mechanical Engineer will include:
- Work on the xgikmsk following but not limited to; ventilation, pumps, compressors, boilers, medical gases, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems
- Undertake a proactive role in responding to reactive jobs to complete diagnostic, fault finding and repair to complex mechanical systems in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance
- Respond to BMS alerts and phone calls during nightshift, acting as the initial point of contact. Assess the nature of the issue, allocate the task to the appropriate team member, and complete the necessary ...
