I'm recruiting for an established international laboratory technology business seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. You'll install, maintain and repair precision laboratory instruments, diagnose faults and provide on-site technical support.
Who would suit this role?
- Experience servicing or maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Confident working independently and supporting customers on-site.
- Ideally based within the Oxford-Swindon-Reading triangle, with reasonable access to Heathrow Airport for occasional Nordic travel.
Travel: The business aims to keep UK journeys within 1-1.5 hours of your home base. Breakdown support, holiday cover and specific assignments may occasionally require longer journeys.
The package includes:
- Competitive base salary.

- Broadband allowance and pension scheme.
- Daily field allowance: £10 for lunch, plus £15 for an evening meal, or reimbursement of actual dinner costs against a receipt.
- 25 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays and the Christmas shutdown period.
You'll receive training across the equipment range, helping you develop your technical skills and support customers closer to home.
