Gold Group Recruitment is supporting the search for an Off‑Site Commissioning Engineer to join a growing and well‑established technology delivery organisation specialising in AV/VC/UC solutions. This role is based at the client’s facility and plays a key part in ensuring systems are fully configured, tested, and documented prior to on‑site installation.
Role Overview
Following a recent restructure of the staging department and associated processes, our client is seeking an Off‑Site Commissioning Engineer to support the pre‑configuration and testing of systems prior to site deployment. Reporting to the Staging Supervisor, the role is pivotal in delivering high‑quality, well‑engineered AV/VC/UC projects to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre‑staging AV systems to ensure all components function correctly, communicate effectively, and meet expected performance prior to installation
- Take ownership of the pre‑staging process for assigned projects
- Complete and maintain pre‑staging documentation, including AVIT schedules
- Produce accurate “As‑Built” AVIT documentation to support project delivery, alongside associated documentation such as schematics and rack elevations
- Support peer reviews of design documentation in collaboration with delivery teams before pre‑staging commences
- Host witness tests and factory acceptance tests (FATs) for clients and consultants to validate system architecture prior to site deployment
- Manage the RMA process using internal systems, including handling DOA equipment identified during pre‑staging
- Contribute ideas and improvements to staging facilities, workflows, and commissioning processes
- Assist with on‑site commissioning activities when required
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant manufacturer product ranges and ensure competency in system setup, configuration, and associated standards
