We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
Purpose: The Plant Manager will take full accountability for facility operations, driving performance, leading the team, and ensuring maximum value for customers and stakeholders. The role prioritises predictability, reliability, and availability while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Site Safety Controlling Manager, ensuring a safety-first culture.
- Manage site operations, including P&L ownership, contractual commitments, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
- Oversee operational and maintenance activities, working closely with central teams to meet availability targets and outage plans.
- Develop staff, implement performance improvements, and maintain succession plans.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, HR, and other key departments to support strategic priorities.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Senior-level people management experience in a large technical environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and budgets.
- Practical experience with corporate management systems.
- Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Full UK driving license.
- Prior experience as a Plant Manager or senior management in a process plant.
- Business or safety qualifications.
- Membership in a relevant professional body.
