Air conditioning Engineer needed for a large facilities management organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Air conditioning Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of air conditioning units, refrigeration systems and chill plant equipment.
The successful candidate would need a recognised EITB or CITB apprenticeship or other similar approved training or further education qualifications in an appropriate discipline and a minimum air conditioning engineer qualification to NVQ level 2. If you have experience in mobile roles that would be a plus!
24 days annual leave increasing to 25 days once 2 years' service is reached. (+ public holidays)

What the role entails:
- Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with A/C units, refrigeration systems, and chiller plant equipment across the site
- Maintenance & Operation: Maintain and ensure the operational efficiency of chillers, cold rooms, freezers, air conditioning systems (VAV, VRV), cooling towers, air handling units, pumps, water treatment systems, and building management systems
- F-Gas Logbook Management: Maintain an up-to-date F-Gas logbook, accurately recording all losses, recoveries, and additions in compliance with regulations
- Leak Checks & GWP Monitoring: Conduct regular leak checks and ensure that GWP (Global Warming Potential) and CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emissions are calculated and documented
- Equipment Servicing: Oversee and perform recovery, repair, pressure testing, vacuum dehydration, recharging, and re-commissioning of A/C units and refrigeration systems
- Subcontractor Coordination: Plan and manage service visits with subcontractors for maintenance and repairs of refrigeration systems
- On-Call Support: Participate in on-call duties as part of the maintenance rota to ensure continuous operation of critical systems
What experience and qualifications you need to be the successful Air Conditioning Engineer:
- Recognised EITB or CITB apprenticeship or other similar approved training or further education qualifications in an appropriate discipline
- Minimum air conditioning engineer qualifications to NVQ level 2
- Fully conversant with all major manufacturers' systems and equipment
- Must have C&G award in F-Gas Cat1 and ODS regulations
- Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria
- Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as NEBOSH / IOSH would be advantageous
- Must be able to read and work to mechanical and electrical schematic drawings
- Valid driving license
