Heating Engineer - ASHP

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join may clients team in York. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient design, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems within residential and commercial properties. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our commitment to high-quality service in the building and construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design the heat pump system following a survey of the customers property
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and ensure optimal performance of heating equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in heating engineering or a related field minimum Level 3 NVQ
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
  • Level 2 NVQ in plumbing and heating
  • NICEIC unit 4, "Level 3 Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings
  • At least 1 years experience fitting air source and ground source heat pumps
  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role working with heat pumps.
  • Strong understanding of heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
