Field Service Technician – Solar PV Electrician
My client is a market leader in the renewable energy sector, from the development, design and construction of large scale solar and BESS installations. The company has constructed over 120 grid-scale solar farms and 30 energy storage facilities, while its O&M service division has 1.6GW of assets under management.
The O&M team need a JIB Gold card Electrician to be responsible for maintaining assets across their growing ground mounted solar farms in the South East near Guildford.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible completion of reactive/planned maintenance of assets under O&M contract.
- Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and testing solar PV systems/installs, assess and rectify performance issues.
- Corrective maintenance will include replacement of key components including but not limited to, PV inverters, PV modules, mounting structures, string cabling and metering, in addition to undertaking scheduled maintenance.
- Report findings in precise and timely manner; with commercial awareness.
- Liaising with asset manager, analysts & regional manager on day-to-day activities.
- Carry out all work in accordance with the rules applicable within the company, applicable laws and regulations in the field of health, safety, the environment and quality (HSEQ).
- Report any situation that may be suspected of posing a risk to health, safety, and the environment or quality.
- Ensure safe working conditions and working methods meet requirements set for the performance of the work in question.
