My client is seeking a Contract Electronics Design Engineer to join our cutting‑edge engineering team based in Staffordshire. This is an inside IR35 contract opportunity, ideal for professionals experienced in PCB manufacturing and passionate about high‑integrity, power‑dense electronics. You will be working within a small, agile team on complex and dynamic projects that push the boundaries of electronic design.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and analysing electronic circuits
  • Capturing schematics and providing PCB layout guidance
  • Selecting and reviewing electronic components
  • Supporting engineering projects through varied tasks
  • Engaging in technical meetings and customer interfaces
  • Documenting work in line with internal procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing and basic analogue/digital design
  • Experience in schematic capture, circuit simulation, and wiring definitions
  • Familiarity with PCB layout oversight
  • Knowledge of EMC and environmental qualification processes
  • Experience using Altium Designer
