Aircraft Mechanic
6 Month + Rolling Contract (Start Mar 2025)
£33 per hour, 37.5hrs per week
Mon – Fri Days only

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  1. Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or trade training equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes applicable to the aviation environment.
  3. Experience in commercial or defence aviation will be considered.
  4. Proficient computer skills, use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Be an effective team member displaying appropriate behaviors including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver aircraft maintenance under MAA Part 145 approval or under the approval of the MOD customer.
  2. Assembly, disassembly, modification or repair of aircraft systems/structures/electronics/components. Upgrading aerospace components to correct failures or implement changes.
  3. Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems, such as pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic to isolate faults and repair faulty components IAW technical information published in authorised maintenance documents.
  4. Exercise, or work under appropriate supervision for the role.
  5. Mitigate immediate risks including ‘stop work’ as well as escalate emerging risks, issues and shortfalls in a timely manner.
