Join our iconic St Ives Mine Site where you’ll gain hands-on experience, quality training and real-world challenges — all while working alongside a world-class team.

This role is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off, roster. This opportunity is open to Kambalda or Kalgoorlie residents only.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll buddy up with an experienced team of Process Operators to learn how to run different areas of the plant safely — from crushers and mills to leach tanks, elution, and control room operations.

You’ll learn to operate and maintain machinery such as IT loaders, Bobcats, and forklifts, take slurry samples, and work safely with hazardous reagents and chemicals. You’ll also get hands-on experience assisting with maintenance during shutdowns, plant cleaning, computer data entry (training provided) whilst participating in safety discussions to support a strong safety culture.

The role involves working in all-weather elements, manual work and lifting, and working at heights so a good level of fitness is important.

What you’ll bring

  • A genuine passion for learning and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience with mobile equipment or labour-intensive work advantageous.
  • Current Driver’s Licence (manual C class preferred).
  • Strong teamwork, communication and basic computer skills.
