Gold Fields – St Ives is currently seeking a Technician: Electrical to join their U/G Fixed Plant Engineering team. Reporting to the Leading Hand: Electrical, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative electrical maintenance and repairs of the Surface and underground Fixed Plant infrastructure. All tasks are to be completed to ensure operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant and efficient manner in alignment with GFA and operation specific quality procedures and statutory regulations.
This role is offered on an 8/6 days, 7/7 nights roster and would be offered as a residential or FIFO position. Bus transportation is offered to and from site daily and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

- Ensure the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practicing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of plant equipment.
- Maintenance, fault-finding and repair of electrical and instrumentation components of process equipment, inclusive of high voltage & low voltage infrastructure.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks.
- Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery.
- HV switching.
- Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties.
- Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and environmental systems standards.
- Training of apprentices.
- Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
- Valid A-Grade Electrical License
- Instrumentation experience is highly desirable
- Experience working with Allen Bradley PLC’s is highly desirable
- A valid manual C Class driver’s license
- Current First Aid Certificate
- High Voltage Switching certification (Desirable)
- Working at heights and EWP tickets
- Crane, dogging &/or forklift ticket also highly desirable
