In this role, you will coordinate and control Fixed Plant Underground Maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production, cost, and quality objectives. You will play a key role in maximising fixed plant availability and reliability through robust planned maintenance strategies and responsive breakdown support.

Permanent role with a leading gold producer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive full adherence to OHS and Environmental Management Systems by leading initiatives, fostering a strong safety culture, and integrating safety into all maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Oversee timely, high-quality investigations of safety, environmental, and process incidents; conduct and enforce regular safety audits and task observations (PTO/TOPS).
  • Manage workforce performance through SMART objectives, regular reviews, accountability for non-compliance, and annual formal evaluations; provide coaching and mentoring to build a high-performing team.
  • Own development and implementation of systems to close performance gaps, lead maintenance operating budget preparation, and ensure compliance with maintenance management processes and strategies.
  • Organize recruitment, training, and development for a competent workforce; maintain asset registers; and negotiate service agreements with external contractors to support maintenance programs.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in Fixed Plant U/G Mining Maintenance.
  • A working knowledge of mining, minerals processing and maintenance processes.
  • Leadership ability with demonstrated previous supervisory experience.
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
  • Strong safety focus driving for high performance across all disciplines within the work team.
  • Certificate 4 In Front line Management or Diploma in Front Line Management.
  • Possess a trade certificate or degree in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines and experience in a maintenance field is desirable.
