As part of this commitment, reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. In compliance with site Environmental and Safety Standards, you will be responsible for all mining aspects, including the development and implementation of plans in line with short to medium-term planning targets.
Invincible Underground is undergoing a significant growth phase with an ever-expanding orebody open at both strike and depth. With complex geology, large-scale capital projects and a dynamic mine design to adapt to, this role offers a rare challenge for candidates looking to make a difference and influence the future direction of a relatively new mine, in a rewarding environment.
This is an on-site position with a roster of 8 days on 6 days off. Both residential and FIFO options are available.

What You'll Do
- Assist in developing and implementing weekly, monthly and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets.
- Supervision of the stope design process and subsequent drill and blast plans to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
- Develop, implement and record mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery.
- Reconciliation of mined plan versus actual to identify improvement areas, along with End of Month reconciliation & claim.
- Actively mentoring, coaching, engaging with, and providing feedback to, the Mine Planning team, promoting a culture of collaborative delivery.
- Apprising the Underground Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production.
- Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate and identify barriers to goal achievement.
- Displayed experience in leadership of a large team, as well as mentoring and developing a team of Mining Engineers.
Who Are We Looking For?
- An autonomous, driven, and safety conscious individual who is willing to share knowledge with others.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Supervisory or Management Training completed.
- WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
- Substantial underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold.
- Exposure to both contractor and owner miner environments.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and mining software such as Deswik, Deswik Scheduler & Ventsim.
