The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Unit Manager: Underground Mining, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of the underground operations (including all mining and planning activities) to meet all short, medium and long-term safety, production, and cost targets at St Ives Gold Mine. With the Invincible Underground in a major growth phase, this role offers a rare chance to tackle complex geology, shape large-scale projects, and influence the future of a rapidly developing mine.

What You’ll Do:
- Monitor development, stoping, and mining projects’ progress against monthly and quarterly targets.
- Manage mine schedules and forecasts to meet budgets, ensuring timely safety and environmental reporting.
- Actively manage Business Partners and short‑term contractors to ensure safe production and delivery.
- Provide input into mine planning, projects, infrastructure, ventilation, survey and geotechnical requirements of the mine to ensure safe production.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) will complement your practical experience, and you will have a proven record of leading high‑performing teams, drive safety, and consistently delivering operational excellence.
- Previous experience includes underground mining environments with experience in large‑scale mechanised, long‑hole stoping, as well as a strong capability in contractor management and business partner engagement.
- A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach engineers within a fast‑paced environment.
