8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, or live locally in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie. One hour charter flight from Perth. Ideal role for an experienced underground Mine Planning Engineer with mentoring and leadership exposure.
The Opportunity: As we expand the team, you’ll work closely with a diverse, high performing team that embodies our core values and fuels our success as a Senior Mine Planning Engineer at St Ives. Reporting to the Superintendent: Mine Planning, you will facilitate the optimal extraction of gold ore through comprehensive underground mine planning, design, evaluation, and scheduling that drives the success of our operation.

What You’ll Do:
- Ensure the business can make informed decisions by identifying, planning, and communicating extraction strategies, critical path, and high-risk areas as part of an iterative scenario planning process.
- Create, support, and manage underground short to medium term mine design, scheduling and evaluation work, including design of all aspects of an underground mine including ventilation, backfill, and other infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor the team to add further value to the Technical Services team.
- Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency is desirable.
- High level of skills displayed in Deswik CAD, Deswik SO and Deswik IS.
- Extensive underground mining experience in production, ventilation, projects, paste fill, planning and scheduling.
