A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced, safety-focused and outcomes-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence and people leadership to join our St Ives Gold Mine as a Mining Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day mining activities, ensuring safe, predictable and cost-effective production outcomes aligned with the site’s strategic objectives.

With accountability across all the site's open pit and underground mining operations, this role is responsible for driving performance in safety, production delivery, cost control and continuous improvement, while fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce. This position is offered on a FIFO basis from Perth on a 4 days on 3 days off roster, with flexibility considered for the right candidate. Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

You will bring significant leadership experience within the mining industry, having operated in a senior technical or operational leadership role such as Mining Manager or Operations Manager. Your ability to lead large crews, optimise mining performance, and build strong cross-functional relationships will be a key factor to your success. Your unwavering focus on safety leadership, planning discipline, and contractor management is essential, along with demonstrated experience in delivering production targets in a dynamic operating environment.

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline and an SSE Certificate are required. A First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency will be highly regarded but is not essential.
