The Opportunity: As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real-world mining experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current manual driver’s licence.
  • Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or similar by end 2026.
  • Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential.

About the Role:

  • Support the delivery of engineering and capital projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders from initiation through to execution.
  • Contribute to the improvement of asset reliability and performance by supporting maintenance strategies, inspections and engineering standards.
  • Assist with engineering analysis, technical investigations and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to identify improvement opportunities.
