Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Coordinator to join their Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance department at St Ives Gold Mine. Reporting to the U/G Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the coordination and compliance of electrical maintenance work to all underground mine fixed plant infrastructure.
Offered as 8 days on, 6 days off roster either fly in fly out from Perth or residential to Kalgoorlie or Kambalda. Transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance can be offered if required. Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

About the role:
- Coordinate and ensure optimal use of resources to achieve compliance with work management requirements.
- Completion of minor electrical infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring cost performance is aligned with maintenance budgets and forecast expectations.
- Ensure ongoing organisational capability through individual development plans.
- Accountable for a high standard of safety, quality, completeness and efficiency of all maintenance activities in area of control.
- Monitor reliability and cost effectiveness of all related assets.
- Undertake short interval inspections and audits of work to verify activities are compliant with site standards and SOPs.
- Demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions and attitudes in line with the Gold Field’s Vision, Values and Code of Ethics.
About you:
- Western Australia A Grade Electrical Licence, in house nominee and HV Switching Certification
- Extensive demonstrated experience as a Coordinator in a large-scale mining environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of underground HV infrastructure and services including surface and underground dewatering systems, primary fans, paste and batching plants.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with CMMS, ideally SAP, and familiar with Microsoft systems.
- Must have experience with PLC, VSD, SCADA, Telemetry, and networking systems.
- Previously held the statutory electrical supervisor position in an underground mine.
- Experience in statutory electrical audits and working knowledge of applicable Australian Standards.
