How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will lead all facets of the open pit/surface operation to deliver on safety, production, and cost objectives. Your leadership will ensure the mine achieves its short-term targets while progressing long-term strategic plans.
- Ensuring compliance with the WA Mines Act & Regulations.
- Leading surface production and development to meet budgets and long-term mine plans.
- Monitor development, production and mining projects’ progress against monthly targets.
- Driving performance against monthly development, mining, and project targets.
- Optimising recovery
- Overseeing mine planning, survey, projects, and geotechnical functions.
- Preparing accurate schedules, forecasts, and budgets to support operational excellence.
This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster, either residential Kalgoorlie/ Kambalda, or fly in fly out from Perth.

What You Bring?
We are seeking an experienced senior leader, holding a WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate/ Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate as well as bringing extensive open pit/surface mining expertise. Your background includes large-scale mechanised operations, with strong capability in contractor management and business partner engagement.
A Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) will complement your practical experience, and you will have a proven record of leading high-performing teams, drive safety, and consistently delivering operational excellence.
