Gold Education Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Graduate Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school based in Witham. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates—particularly those with sports coaching experience—who are passionate about working with young people and considering a future career in teaching or education.
The school is seeking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who can inspire students, manage classrooms effectively, and contribute positively to school life. This role is ideal for those with experience in coaching, mentoring, youth work, or leadership roles.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain on task, engaged, and working productively.

Key Responsibilities:- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively using strong communication and leadership skills
- Motivate and engage students, drawing on coaching and mentoring techniques
- Support students with their learning and encourage participation

- Experience working with young people (e.g. sports coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, camps, clubs, etc.)
