We are seeking a reliable and organised School Administrator to join a friendly and supportive school in Colchester. This is a key role within the school office, providing essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day school office administration
- Handling pupil records, attendance and admissions data
- Acting as first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
- Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner
- Supporting senior leadership and teaching staff with administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate records using school management systems (e.g. SIMS/Arbor)
- Processing correspondence, reports and confidential documents
- Supporting safeguarding and compliance procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in a school or similar administrative role (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; school systems desirable)

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
