About Us
Gold Care Homes is a well-established national independent Care Homes group for the elderly. Gold Care Homes was established in 1999 and has since grown to operate 43 care homes across the South of England. The group offers a range of services which includes residential, nursing, frail elderly and dementia care.
This is a pivotal role within a fantastic social care provider. The Regional Support Manager will operate across the group, and provide a range of support depending on the company and service’s needs. You will ideally be a Registered Nurse and have experience as a registered manager.
The role will see you managing short term assignments which may include Quality Improvement, New service commissioning, proactive trouble shooting, closure or specific KPI improvements such as occupancy growth, agency reduction and recruitment as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director. The role will also, often involve crisis management requiring a skilled manager who can adapt dependent on the situation.
You will be care home based, and travel will take you outside of your immediate location, on occasion requiring overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Achieving business goals and revenue targets.
- Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives.
- Recruiting, training, and supporting general managers as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.
- Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans.
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
- Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective.
- Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed.
- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances.
- Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse and / or NVQ Level 4 in Care / leadership and Management
- Experience in working in Residential / Nursing and Dementia Care setting
- A minimum 3 years of management and leadership experience
- Successful record of empowering and supporting registered managers and staff
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven IT experience, including Word and Excel
- Able to take accountability for Health and Safety Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Demonstrate up to date knowledge and understanding of the Care Sector and the regulatory framework
