Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Company Driver to join our team. The working hours will fluctuate dependant on the planned Activity outings at the home, with occasional ad-hoc hours for hospital appointments scheduled in advance.
The successful candidate must hold a valid Category D license to operate an 8-seater minibus and will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of residents and employees to various destinations. In addition, the driver will ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and operated in full compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Safely transport company personnel, goods, or equipment to designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle checks to ensure proper functionality.
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with company personnel and office staff.
- Complete required paperwork, including trip logs and expense reports.
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures for company activities.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanour at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate loads.
