About Us:
A purpose-built home in West Londonβs Garden city, Drayton Village Care Centre offers first-class care for residents with 91 beds. Built on the former RAF site, it is part of a thriving community with open spaces, parks, and tree-lined boulevards.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative for 40 hours a week!
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the building and equipment
- Carrying out routine checks weekly, monthly, and annually on systems, and ensuring external checks like Loler testing are completed within the timeframe
- Monitoring and responding to fire alarms, boilers, and lifts
- Using resources effectively for maintenance and repairs
- Managing banking and purchasing small items for the home
- Maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment for safety, including decoration, minor plumbing, and garden maintenance
- Communicating effectively with team members and colleagues
- Following policies and procedures, especially fire safety
- Participating in training and development
- Training new staff on building layout and fire policies
- Maintaining confidentiality of clients and business information
- Managing stock, deliveries, and procurement
- Adhering to health and safety requirements
- Fostering good communication within teams and with residents
- Performing any additional duties as required
- Engaging in further training to enhance contribution
