Situated on the Surrey/London border in the pretty village of Thames Ditton, Emberbrook Care Home is a warm and welcoming nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults. Emberbrook Care Home provides support for people living with a range of differing health needs, offering residential, nursing and dementia care on a long-term or short-term and respite basis.
We are looking for Registered Nurses with a valid NMC pin number to share our mission: The home's mission is to "enhance the lives of residents in their care by bringing them joy, happiness and fulfilment, by providing the highest quality of care and services, whilst always striving for excellence."
What does the role involve?
- Achieve a high standard of care.
- Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support.
- Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
- Wound management.
- Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
- Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
- Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
- Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
- Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
- Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
- Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
- Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
- Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
- Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
- Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets β Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities.
