About Our Home: Situated in the pretty village of Derry Hill, just two miles from the centre of Calne, Kingston House Care Home offers access to the many amenities the village and nearby town have to offer, as well as being within easy reach of the larger towns of Chippenham, Melksham, and Corsham. Kingston House Care Home provides support for people living with a range of differing health needs, offering residential and dementia care on a long-term or short-term and respite basis.

We are looking for Clinical Leads to share our mission: The home's mission is to enhance the lives of residents in their care by bringing them joy, happiness and fulfilment, by providing the highest quality of care and services, whilst always striving for excellence.

What does the role involve?

  • To carry responsibility for the management of the unit during the day.
  • Develop and manage the skills of the care team.
  • To promote and maintain a high standard of nursing care.
  • To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff.
  • To work within the NMC code of professional conduct and CQC standards as well as following internal policies and procedures.
  • Planning, directing and delivery of high-quality person-centered care.
  • To undertake staff reviews and team meetings.
  • To monitor the quality of care offered.
  • To evaluate employee performance, monitoring nurses closely to ensure they fulfil their job duties and provide only the best care.
