About the Chef de Partie Position: We are seeking an ambitious and professional Chef de Partie to join our team of chefs. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for helping prepare delicious meals for our clients while keeping a neat and clean station and tracking the kitchen's inventory. As the kitchen can get busy, strong communication and multitasking skills are a must. The successful candidate will be able to stay organized under pressure.
Chef de Partie Responsibilities:- Maintain your workstation, keeping track of inventory and ensuring that everything is clean and orderly
- Prepare ingredients that are used on a frequent basis, such as chopping vegetables
- Cook ingredients as directed by the head chef or sous chef, plating dishes as indicated by recipes
- Adhere to all safety and health standards required by law when preparing food
- Provide further assistance to the head chef and sous chef as directed
- Work alongside other chefs, incorporating feedback to improve processes
- High school diploma required; culinary certificate or degree preferred
- [2+] years experience as a Chef de Partie
- Working knowledge of restaurant practices and guidelines, including safe knife-handling skills
- Superb organizational and multitasking skills even under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be a team player, working well with other chefs, servers, and management
