About Our Village & Care Centre
Lynwood Village in Ascot is a retirement community designed for individuals aged 65 and over. It is situated in a scenic location with free parking. It features a variety of amenities including a swimming pool, gym and various leisure activities. The Village offers 152 apartments and cottages. Lynwood Care Centre is a warm and welcoming purpose-built nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults. Our home is divided into several smaller ‘houses,’ where our staff really get to know their residents, allowing for a more personalised approach to the care we provide.
We are looking for a BANK Physiotherapist to assist the Lead Physiotherapist in delivering high quality, client focused and person centred physiotherapy/hydrotherapy services to clients within the Centre. Responsibilities include:
- Providing effective operational and clinical leadership and management of physiotherapy/hydrotherapy services in the absence of the Lead Physiotherapist, ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and development of physiotherapy/hydrotherapy services within the Centre to meet the needs of current and prospective clients.
- Undertaking physiotherapy assessment and treatment for people with a wide range of physical needs including neurological, functional, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and respiratory care needs.
- Carrying out physiotherapy and environmentally specific risk assessments including moving and handling and hydrotherapy.
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and currently registered with Healthcare Professionals Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Hydrotherapy qualification (or equivalent e.g. aquatic therapy).
- A clear understanding of the CSP professional code of conduct and relevant professional guidelines.
- Awareness of the principles of person centred care.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to adults with complex needs (e.g. M.C.A.).
- Evidence of CPD.
