About the Home:

Our home is excellently situated in the popular town of Cricklewood in North London, close to local shops, parks, and public transport links. The nearby London Boroughs of Camden, Barnet, and Brent are easily accessible, putting attractions like Wembley Stadium, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, and Camden Market within reach.

About the Role:

The post holder will be responsible for planning and organising activities for residents at various times during the day. Flexibility is required to facilitate outings and events, ensuring residents receive maximum benefit.

The role involves supporting residents\’ social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being through activities, supporting their interests, and enabling participation. You will assist in organising and implementing individual, group, and fundraising activities to promote residents\’ aspirations. Additionally, delivering physical, psychological, and social care to frail elderly residents is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Build friendships with residents to help them adjust to life in the care home.
  • Provide high-quality personal and psychological care professionally.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef, and relatives to ensure smooth operations and teamwork.
  • Complete required records to a satisfactory standard, in agreement with the manager.
  • Safeguard residents\’ and staff\’s rights in accordance with the home’s philosophy of care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients, staff, and business information.
  • Plan daytime and evening activities.
  • Be aware of and adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate activity programs with other services within the facility.
  • Assess residents\’ needs and develop activity goals for the care plan.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes.
  • Work individually and as part of the team to support staff and residents, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Observe and communicate effectively within teams and with residents.
  • Perform additional duties as requested and undertake relevant training to enhance your contribution.
