About Goidentity

Goidentity helps organisations verify customers quickly and securely through one flexible identity-verification platform. Our services bring together identity and biometric verification with KYC and AML checks to help businesses build safer and more efficient onboarding journeys.

As we grow across the UK and international markets we are looking for a hands-on KYC & Compliance Operations Manager to help us maintain high standards across customer verification, client onboarding and our internal operations.

The role

You will take ownership of the day-to-day operational management of KYC, KYB and AML verification activity across Goidentity.

This is not a purely policy-based compliance role. You will review cases, make risk-based decisions, investigate exceptions, support customers and improve how our operational processes work. You will also work closely with our product and technology teams to improve the Goidentity platform based on real verification outcomes and customer needs.

The role will sit at the centre of Operations and will also support People and HR processes where identity, right-to-work, background screening, supplier checks and accurate record keeping are required.

What you will be responsible for

  • Reviewing identity-verification results for individuals, businesses, directors and beneficial owners
  • Completing and overseeing KYC, KYB, CDD and enhanced due diligence reviews
  • Assessing PEP, sanctions and adverse-media screening results
  • Reviewing ownership structures and identifying ultimate beneficial owners
  • Assessing source-of-funds and source-of-wealth information where required
  • Investigating failed, inconclusive or potentially suspicious verification cases
  • Making documented risk-based decisions and escalating concerns through the appropriate reporting process
  • Supporting onboarding and periodic reviews for clients, customers, users, suppliers and other third parties
  • Maintaining accurate and audit-ready case records
  • Creating quality-control checks and reviewing the consistency of operational decisions
  • Developing practical policies, procedures, checklists and escalation routes
  • Monitoring volumes, turnaround times, failure reasons, risk outcomes and service levels
  • Producing clear management information for senior leadership
  • Supporting clients with questions about verification results and onboarding requirements
  • Working with product and technology teams to improve workflows, rules, screening and user experience
  • Helping test new features and verification services before release
  • Supporting appropriate People and HR controls including right-to-work and employee or contractor onboarding processes
  • Keeping up to date with changes in UK AML, financial crime and digital identity requirements
  • Helping the wider business understand its responsibilities through practical guidance and training

What we are looking for

  • Strong hands-on experience in KYC, KYB, AML, customer due diligence or financial crime operations
  • Experience reviewing both individual and corporate customers
  • Good knowledge of CDD, EDD, PEPs, sanctions, adverse media, beneficial ownership and risk-based decision-making
  • Experience investigating complex or higher-risk cases
  • Sound judgement with the confidence to approve, reject or escalate a case based on evidence
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record keeping
  • Experience creating or improving operational procedures and controls
  • Ability to turn operational data into meaningful reporting and recommendations
  • Confidence communicating with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a growing technology business where processes are continuously evolving
  • A practical mindset with the willingness to handle cases personally as well as manage the wider process

Desirable experience

  • Experience working for an identity-verification provider, RegTech business, FinTech, bank, law firm, accountancy practice or another regulated organisation
  • Experience using digital identity, document verification, biometric, PEP, sanctions or adverse-media screening platforms
  • Knowledge of the UK Money Laundering Regulations and relevant FCA or JMLSG guidance
  • Experience with operational quality assurance, audits or compliance testing
  • ICA, ACAMS or another recognised AML or financial crime qualification
  • Experience working with product, engineering or software delivery teams
  • Knowledge of the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework

What success will look like

  • Verification cases are handled accurately, consistently and within agreed service levels
  • Higher-risk cases are identified and escalated appropriately
  • Decisions and supporting evidence are clearly documented
  • Clients receive practical and timely support
  • Operational trends are used to improve the Goidentity platform
  • Policies and procedures remain proportionate, current and usable
  • Goidentity maintains a strong culture of quality, security and responsible decision-making

Why join Goidentity?

You will have the opportunity to shape a growing identity-verification platform rather than simply operate an established process. You will work closely with senior leadership, operations, HR, product and technology teams and will have a direct influence on how our services develop.

Goidentity is part of Goaco Group, a UK-founded digital and technology organisation established in 2010.
