Go Henry is the money app giving kids a head start in life as they learn to earn, save, spend and invest – all with parental oversight.
Having pioneered a new category in financial education when it launched in 2012, over 2.3 million kids have now learnt money skills with Go Henry.
With the ultimate goal to make every kid smart with money, Go Henry believes the best way to learn is to get hands‑on experience with money.
We are looking for a Senior People Partner to work closely alongside our Head of HR and take real ownership of employee relations, performance, and talent for the business.
This is a step up from a supporting role — you’ll be the one shaping how ER, performance cycles, and talent conversations run day to day, with the Head of HR there as a sounding board on the genuinely tricky calls rather than someone signing off every case.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be handed a fully‑formed playbook.
A good chunk of our SOPs and manager guidance still need to be written, updated, or simplified, and the same is true of how we run performance and talent processes.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building structure, not just working within it — if that sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll fit right in.
What you will bring to Go
Henry
- Around 8 years in HR, with substantial hands‑on experience running ER cases independently – including the complex or higher‑risk ones, not just the routine cases.
- Experience owning a performance review cycle end to end.
- Some exposure to talent processes – succession planning, career frameworks, workforce planning – even if you haven’t led on this before.
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy -setting your daily priorities independently while using the Head of HR as a strategic sounding board on critical decisions.
- Solid, current knowledge of UK employment law, and the confidence to apply it to situations that don’t have a precedent.
- The confidence to advise – and occasionally push back on – senior stakeholders when it’s the right call for the business.
- Experience using an HRIS platform (Hi Bob a bonus) to independently analyse trends and extract actionable people insights.
- Proven track record of designing and scaling People processes.
- Some experience informally guiding or mentoring more junior HR colleagues, even without formal line management responsibility.
What you will do at Go
Henry
- Manage the ER lifecycle autonomously - resolving complex disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues end‑to‑end with minimal escalation required.
- Lead our performance review cycles – timelines, calibration, manager guidance .
- Partner with the Head of HR on talent: helping spot where we’re at risk of losing people, where the gaps are, and what career progression should look like at Go Henry.
- Drive our absence management framework: advising managers on complex health/welfare scenarios, guiding OH interventions, and identifying root‑cause trends across the business.
- Coach line managers through the conversations they find hardest – performance concerns, difficult feedback, conduct issues.
- Support organisational change and restructures alongside the Head of HR: consultation documents, timelines, and looking after the people going through it.
- Design and scale Go Henry’s People playbooks, establishing simple SOPs and self‑service guidance that empower leaders to handle routine team matters.
- Own employee engagement survey cycles – design as well as delivery – and work with managers to turn the findings into real changes.
- Use Hi Bob to analyse trends across absence, and engagement, turning them into insights.
- Contribute to broader People projects spanning L&D, reward strategy, and organizational culture.
What’s in it for you?
All the essentials you would expect, including a workplace pension plan, 33 days of holiday (including public holidays), and great company events!
Plus
