At Go Global, the Business Applications Lead owns the internal business applications stack — CRM, ERP / finance, HRIS, and ticketing — configuring, integrating, and evolving the tools that Delivery runs on every day.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who understands both how the business works and how to make Saa S platforms work for it.
You will be the single point of accountability for the availability, configuration, and continuous improvement of these core platforms, translating operational needs into reliable application change while keeping access, audit, and data integrity tight.
Sitting within Digital Operations, you partner closely with delivery teams, vendors, and the master-data function to keep the application landscape joined-up and dependable.
This role suits a pragmatic systems owner who enjoys both the configuration detail and the bigger picture of how applications connect, and who can lead a small specialist team while staying close to the platforms themselves.
As part of this remit, the Business Applications Lead also leads automation and AI adoption across Delivery — identifying where workflows can be simplified or automated, embedding AI-assisted tools into the applications and day-to-day processes teams rely on, and partnering with the Automations function and delivery leaders to prioritise, build, and scale these capabilities responsibly, so that automation and AI measurably improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround for clients while remaining secure, well-governed, and genuinely adopted by the people who use them.
Responsibilities
- Application Portfolio Ownership
- Administer and evolve the core business applications portfolio, keeping each platform stable, current, and fit for how Delivery works.
- Own configuration, release management, and vendor relationships for each application, including roadmap, renewals, and service levels.
- Capture operational requirements from across Delivery and translate them into well-scoped, well-tested application changes.
- Integration & Data
- Lead integrations between applications — SSO, data synchronisation, and process orchestration — so information flows cleanly end to end.
- Partner with Master Data Management (MDM) on master-data flows across applications, protecting consistency and quality.
- Adoption & Support
- Drive user adoption through clear training, documentation, and responsive day-to-day application support.
- Promote consistent, well-governed ways of working across the application landscape as the foundation for scalable, reliable operations.
- Security, Access & Compliance
- Ensure access controls, audit trails, and segregation-of-duties (So D) compliance are maintained across all applications.
- Work within internal controls and regulatory requirements, supporting internal and external audits with accurate evidence.
- Key Performance Indicators
- Application availability and incident volume.
- Change throughput and backlog burn-down.
- User satisfaction and adoption.
Requirements
- 8+ years working with business applications, including hands-on Saa S administration and configuration of CRM, ERP / finance, HRIS, or ticketing platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong Saa S administration and configuration skills across multiple enterprise applications.
- Integration and API fluency — practical experience with SSO, data sync, and process orchestration between systems.
- Vendor management experience, including release management, renewals, and service-level oversight.
- Strong requirements-gathering skills — able to turn operational needs into clear, testable application changes.
- Solid grasp of access controls, audit trails, and segregation-of-duties (So D) compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and train non-technical users.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted tools and an openness to AI literacy as the function evolves.
- Preferred
- Experience leading a small team of application specialists.
- Exposure to master-data management and data-governance practices.
- Relevant platform certifications (e. g. Salesforce, Net Suite, Workday, Service Now, or equivalent).
