Role Overview:
You will join the Project Management department as a Mid-Weight Project Manager, working with Senior Project Managers and Project Directors across various accounts. You will have the opportunity to be the operational lead of your own account. As the master of timelines and status sheets, you will be the glue between team members, ensuring you create and uphold structures that work for your team and your client. You will need to have an interest in creativity and design, as well as a natural urge to be proactive and a desire to be part of a positive work culture.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Project plans β You will be the creator and holder of all process documents, WoW, status sheets, timelines and project plans. On occasion, you will partner with the Account Leadership team in creating project scope of work proposals.
- Team co-ordination β You will be the glue between a team of Creatives, Strategists, Designers, Account handlers and Producers, helping build a collaborative way-of-working across each project and keeping energy levels up to ensure we are delivering the best Creative work possible.
- Resource management & planning β You will work closely with the agency Resource Manager to allocate & manage the time for those who are involved in delivering projects for your brands. You'll need to ensure there's ample time allocated for the work in scope and share clear communications with the team on client expectations and delivery dates.
- Financial management & ownership β To ensure we are able to stay within budget, you will be responsible for managing estimates, purchasing, invoice approvals, tracking burn against timesheets, along with keeping on top of third-party costs.
- End-to-end delivery β You will arrange & lead kick off and creative review meetings, helping manage projects through to delivery, which will include a range of assets (i.e. global toolkits, digital assets, OOH, POSM, print assets and TVCs and radio assets).
- Production support β When applicable to your projects, you will support the Production team, which may mean you're involved in running small-scale production projects (e.g. stills shoots, post-prod projects).
The Accounts:
Your Project Manager remit will focus on a restricted category brand. Your key challenge will be juggling multiple workstreams for a complex, global, and highly regulated business while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects. You will cover an exciting client portfolio, often at both a local and global market level, with highly strategic brands and demanding business challenges that require creative problem-solving and consumer-centric thinking.
Required Skills & Capabilities:
- Open & communicative β You will be comfortable communicating around project needs in terms of resource with the Head of Resourcing and Project Leads, alerting team leads ahead of time if additional support is needed.
- Creative β You will have a natural creative flair and problem solving ability, as well as having a good understanding of the creative, production and design process with an interest of deepening your knowledge.
- Process management β You will be confident in suggesting / leading new team structures where there is opportunity to have a better WoW or become more efficient.
- System know-how β You will be adept at building and tracking project statuses, timelines and would have built other WoW documents (i.e. RACI matrix, R&Rs and workflow) into formats that are easily digestible for your team, as well as having any experience with a specific Project Management tool.
- Commercial acumen β You will have previous experience of financial tracking, reconciliation and ideally forecasting and scoping projects worth Β£20k β Β£300k+.
- Campaign management & delivery β Previous experience working on global and regional campaigns is beneficial, managing development end-to-end for through-the-line assets / projects.
- WoW guru β You will be agile and able to adapt your working style dependent on team needs and feel confident engaging with clients.
- Collaborative & connected β You will be the glue between the different internal disciplines and will play an active role in fostering a positive & supportive working environment in the agency.
- Production β Some level of production experience preferred, but desire to support production projects and expand your knowledge is essential.
