Interim Legal Counsel
Corpay is currently looking to hire a junior Interim Legal Counsel to join our Legal team on a 12 month fixed-term basis, with the opportunity to move to permanent for the right candidate.
This role will provide exposure to a broad range of commercial matters while partnering with business leaders to manage legal risk.
The successful candidate will be a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global fintech environment and who is enthusiastic and willing to learn.
This position reports to the General Counsel (or designated Legal leader) and will collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Human Resources, Finance, Product, and Operations teams across the organization.

- Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include
- BAU work including confidentiality agreements, T&Cs, drafting legal correspondence, reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements.
- Working closely with senior legal counsel as an additional resource on large complex matters, including lending, derivatives, litigation and disputes.
- Ability to identify, assess, and communicate legal risks, providing recommendations that align with Corpay's risk appetite and business objectives.
- Review, develop, and maintain legal policies, contract templates, governance documentation, and standard legal processes to improve consistency and compliance.
- Prepare concise legal risk assessments and executive summaries outlining potential impacts, mitigation strategies, and recommended actions.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Product, HR, and business leaders to ensure legal considerations are integrated into operational and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional legal projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 Years post qualification experience
- Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree
- Ability to prioritize multiple matters while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and an enthusiastic attitude.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial, corporate, financial services, fintech, or in-house legal practice an advantage.
