Who you are
- 5+ years of Operations Management experience in the tech industry
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams/cross-functional teams
- Experience working in pre-revenue/pre-profit startups and companies with established operational processes
- Experience with expense tracking, budgeting, risk management, cost optimization, company documentation management
- Experience working with fully remote, distributed production teams
- Fluent English and strong communication skills both written and spoken
- Commitment to work within core hours of 9:30am UTC/BST to 4pm UTC/BST

- Experience in game development or mobile apps development
- Experience with web3 projects

What the job involves
- This is a very hands-on role
- This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months
- Pixion is a globally distributed, fully remote and multicultural team
- We're developing Fableborne, a F2P mobile game that blends base building/deck building with ARPG raiding, and operating a POWER token as part of the company development strategy
- We are looking for the Operations Manager to support Pixion's leadership and the team while the Director of Operations is on maternity leave
- You will report directly to the CEO

Responsibilities:
- Work through the specific goals and challenges we have already identified, help leadership guide execution on them during these 12 months and leave the studio in a clearer operating position for when the Director of Operations returns
- Support leadership with decision making by providing cost calculations, risks and benefits analysis, resources and feasibility analysis, execution strategies for the new milestones, goals, initiatives, and projects
- Manage expense tracking, purchase approvals, vendor management, and operational budgeting processes
- Identify, track, and escalate decisions that are blocking product development in a timely manner, and follow up with the team to support resolution and maintain alignment on timelines and context
- Partner with the Project Manager and the team in planning scenarios for product milestones scope, timelines, and cost to be presented to the leadership
- Collaborate with leadership and the team to identify hidden inefficiencies in existing processes, and find solutions to optimise the delivery time and cost
- Standardize recurring operational processes so the company can operate and scale more smoothly
