We are seeking a skilled communications lead to provide interim continuity across the UK and international communications functions during an upcoming period of parental leave. The approximate length of the assignment is nine months.

As the Interim Communications Lead, you will manage PR, influencer, ambassador, trade, pro advocacy, and launch communications across the UK and international markets (overseeing EMEA and Australia) to drive brand visibility, cultural relevance, and commercial impact. For the duration of the assignment, you will be responsible for ensuring campaigns, reporting, agency partnerships, and market coordination continue to operate effectively and efficiently.

In this role, you will act as the key connector between Global and International teams, maintaining and operationalising established communications frameworks, agency governance, launch processes, and market-facing programmes across diverse international regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrated Communications
    • Lead the UK and oversee EMEA and Australian markets across earned, influencer, ambassador, and pro advocacy channels.
    • Translate Global brand priorities into market-relevant execution.
    • Lead the operational management and execution of integrated launch plans aligned to commercial and marketing objectives.
    • Maintain momentum across key communications initiatives that support brand visibility, relevance, and trust.
  • Agency & Partner Leadership
    • Oversee agency ecosystem across consumer PR, trade PR and paid influencer.
    • Manage scopes of work, budgets, KPIs and quarterly reviews.
    • Drive integration between agencies to ensure aligned execution and reporting.
    • Maintain operational frameworks, workflows and governance across international communications activity.
  • Influencer & Pro Ambassador Management
    • Lead regional ambassador and advocate programmes.
    • Oversee influencer strategy across earned and paid collaboration.
    • Guide talent selection, relationship management and content integration.
    • Ensure alignment between creator activity, PR storytelling and retailer priorities.
    • Drive Pro Ambassador and trade stylist engagement as a key strategic initiative, ensuring these communities are central to all brand communications and effectively managed across key market touchpoints.
  • Launch & Campaign Management
    • Lead communications planning and operational oversight for major launches and brand moments.
    • Oversee operational readiness across launches, ensuring timelines, assets, mailers, events and market deliverables remain aligned and on track across international markets.
    • Partner cross-functionally with Global, Education, Sales and Marketing teams to support integrated communications execution.
    • Maintain alignment across distributors, agencies and internal stakeholders to support consistent communications execution across key markets.
  • Reporting & Operational Infrastructure
    • Oversee communications reporting, EMV tracking and KPI frameworks across key markets.
    • Maintain and optimise communications tools, trackers and operational workflows across relevant markets.
    • Drive visibility of regional communications impact internally through reporting and performance recaps.
    • Oversee reporting workflows across PR and influencer activity, ensuring agency submissions, trackers and performance recaps are reviewed, consolidated and delivered efficiently.
    • Maintain launch calendars, agency workflows and operational processes to support continuity across the communications function.

About You

  • Minimum 10 years experience in communications with a track record of success in planning, adapting and executing successful communication strategies. Familiarity with the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle sectors is preferred.
  • Established network of media and influencer contacts in the UK and Europe, specifically related to beauty, fashion, or lifestyle including journalists, editors, influencers, and industry insiders.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and executing global communication plans that have delivered measurable results.
  • Ability to think strategically and align communications efforts with broader organizational goals.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, e-commerce, and education.
  • Drive for innovation and a creative approach to problem-solving, event ideation, and gifting.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
