Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering operational HR support across the business while partnering with managers to provide practical, commercially focused advice. Working alongside our People team, you'll help ensure we continue to deliver an exceptional HR service across our UK and international teams during a period of growth and integration.
No two days will be the same. From supporting managers with employee relations to improving HR processes, coaching leaders and helping deliver key people initiatives, you'll be at the heart of our People function.
What You'll Be Doing
- You'll be responsible for a broad range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including:
- Partnering with managers to provide pragmatic HR advice and guidance
- Supporting employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management
- Coaching managers on performance management and people best practice
- Managing onboarding, contractual changes, probation, absence management and offboarding
- Supporting learning and development, employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Coordinating monthly payroll with Finance and external providers
- Maintaining HR systems and ensuring accurate employee records
- Producing HR reporting and management information to support business decisions
- Reviewing HR processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and company policies
- Supporting key people initiatives associated with business integration and organisational change
About You
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and enjoys building strong relationships across a business. You'll be equally comfortable advising managers, handling operational HR activity and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
You'll ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
- Strong employee relations experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment
- Strong HR systems skills and the ability to produce meaningful HR reporting
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to simplify and improve processes
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting learning and development initiatives would be advantageous
- Previous people management experience and exposure to international teams would also be beneficial
Work Arrangement
Interim 6-9 Month Fixed Term Contract Guildford / London | Hybrid Working. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in our London office as well as occasional travel to Guildford.
