Here at GoFind Recruitment, we are proud to be representing an industry leading and award winning Communication Systems business based in Preston, in their search for a dynamic and technically skilled Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their dynamic team based in the North West.

This role bridges the gap between technical solutions and client needs — providing pre-sales support, system design input, and hands-on commissioning of integrated communication systems for various environments (transportation, public safety, education, events, etc.). You will be responsible for conducting technical site surveys, commissioning AV/PA systems, overseeing quality control, and delivering customer training.

Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver tailored AV and communication system solutions.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, documentation, system designs, and product presentations.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs and system requirements.
  • Recommend optimal hardware / software configurations based on use case, budget, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of audio/visual and mobile comms systems on client sites.
  • Perform system configuration, calibration, and testing to ensure proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment.
  • Ensure full documentation of installation and configuration processes for handover to clients.
  • Provide training to end users and client technical staff on system operation and maintenance.
  • Create user manuals and support documents tailored to each deployment.
  • Provide post-sales technical support as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standards and emerging technologies.
  • Provide customer training and certification, ensuring clients can fully operate their new systems.
Essential Experience / Qualifications:
  • Experience in a technical support or AV or PA communications systems (or related Field).
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, configuration tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or sales role, with the ability to present and promote technical solutions effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for site work and client meetings.
  • Full UK driving license and DBS certification (or willingness to obtain).
