Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm, rotating late and Saturday cover (40 hrs per week)

The Team

Our Installs team are at the heart of GoFibre, making sure our network is built and our customers are connected on time. As a Patch Lead, you’ll take responsibility for a team of Fibre Installation Engineers, guiding them to deliver a safe, high-quality service with an exceptional customer experience at the forefront of everything we do.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Leading and supporting a team of customer-facing fibre engineers, making sure every installation meets GoFibre’s high standards
  • Working hands-on with fibre optic systems, from splicing to OTDR testing and troubleshooting complex faults
  • Overseeing the installation, termination, and testing of fibre optic cables, ensuring accuracy against blueprints and network diagrams
  • Driving safety first, carrying out inspections and ensuring your team follow all industry regulations and standards
  • Monitoring network performance, using tools like power meters and visual fault locators to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
  • Ensuring your engineers have the right tooling, stock, PPE, and training to deliver top-quality work
  • Maintaining accurate records of installations, test results, and maintenance logs for full compliance and service tracking
  • Collaborating with Service Delivery, Customer Service, and Build teams to solve challenges and keep customers connected

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Previous experience in managing, training and developing a team of fibre installation engineers
  • Extensive telecoms knowledge, with proven experience working on PIA networks
  • NSWRA accreditation and relevant PIA accreditations
  • Deep understanding of fibre optic systems, components, and transmission principles
  • Familiarity with cable types, connectors, splicing techniques (fusion and mechanical), and OTDR testing
