THE TEAM
As a Senior Automation Test Engineer within the Software Engineering team at GoFibre, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with developers and key stakeholders to define and execute effective test strategies, build and enhance automation frameworks, and support continuous improvement across our delivery processes. You will also mentor and guide engineers, helping to embed a culture of quality, collaboration, and efficiency throughout the team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
- Developing and executing clear, effective test strategies, plans, and procedures within an Agile or Scaled Agile framework.
- Designing, building, and enhancing scalable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Mocha, or K6.
- Creating, maintaining, and debugging automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing, with a big focus on writing precision test cases.
- Running automated tests, analysing results, and identifying defects or inconsistencies, with a proactive approach to uncovering edge cases.
- Reporting, tracking, and managing defects through to resolution, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
- Championing a quality-first mindset across the software engineering team, supporting continuous improvement and best practices in testing and automation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Mocha, or K6.
- Proficient in scripting or programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java) with a solid understanding of Agile testing principles and CI/CD integration.
- Skilled in functional, regression, API, and performance testing, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in identifying issues.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and delivery teams.
- Proactive, quality-driven mindset, continuously improving automation practices and championing GoFibre's values of simplicity, collaboration, commitment, customer, and safety.
