THE TEAM
Our Civils team is growing in line with our achievements and ambitions and will play a pivotal role in our success story. We are looking for experienced Civils Engineers reporting to the Install manager with the ideal candidates having experience performing excavations, repairs and re-reinstatements, installation of ducting, and chambers within the public highway. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation and organisation, working closely with all stakeholders to deliver projects that meet their requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
- Providing the installation of duct/micro duct, chambers and associated customer connections from the Openreach Network to the Customer.
- Clear blockages in the carriageway and footway and reinstate to industry standard.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets and van sheets.
- Completion of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
- Be responsible for the company assets and plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties.
- Ensure compliance of all current processes and procedures.
- Working away from home on occasions will be required in this role.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Valid NRSWA – Full Course.
- SA006 Safe Working In Civils.
- Q013 - Box Building (Modular).
- Q019 – Core Drilling.
- Q020 – Duct Blockages.
- Q021 – Duct Laying.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Skilled in operating Stihl saws, Wacker plates, trench compactors, and jackhammers.
- Experience in telecoms infrastructure, including box building, clearing blockages, duct installation, and core drilling.
- Knowledgeable in risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Capable of reviewing and following work instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
