We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our established adult residential care home in Cardiff. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable adults while leading a dedicated team of care professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee care delivery in line with best practice and individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with RISCA and other relevant legislation.
- Lead and mentor staff, manage rotas, and support professional development.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance.
- Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Manage budgets and contribute to the financial sustainability of the service.
- Support recruitment and retention of staff in collaboration with the corporate team.
Essential:
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (or equivalent).
- Proven management experience in a care setting.
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
- Experience with internal audits and quality improvement.
- Welsh language skills (spoken and/or written).
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
- Knowledge of medication management and PBS strategies.
