We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our established adult residential care home in Cardiff. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable adults while leading a dedicated team of care professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee care delivery in line with best practice and individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with RISCA and other relevant legislation.
  • Lead and mentor staff, manage rotas, and support professional development.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Manage budgets and contribute to the financial sustainability of the service.
  • Support recruitment and retention of staff in collaboration with the corporate team.

Essential:

  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (or equivalent).
  • Proven management experience in a care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

  • Experience with internal audits and quality improvement.
  • Welsh language skills (spoken and/or written).
  • Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
  • Knowledge of medication management and PBS strategies.
