A focus on training and guiding junior and trainee colleagues is of utmost importance to provide the best start to their careers.

In addition to your clinical GP duties, some of your senior duties will include:

  • Ensuring a high and improving standard of evidence-based clinical care amongst GP veterinary colleagues at the Hospital.

Your rota will be on a 6 weekly rotational basis made up of an average of 40 hours per week, inclusive of a 1:3 Saturday and 1:6 Sunday weekend rotation. This will enable you to work within all departments of the hospital, ranging across consulting, surgery, ward and ECC. You will be rotated to up to 2 bank holidays per year and be part of the last-resort on-call rotation.

There is state-of-the-art diagnostic support, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery, all available on site.

You will be working alongside a large collaborative team consisting of approximately 25 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front-of-house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.

You are fully supported by an established management structure including senior RVNs, two deputy head nurses, a head nurse, a head vet and a hospital manager.
