VA620 – Part‑Time Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location: Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. Part‑time, 26.13 hours per week, split over three days with a 1:3 branch Saturday and a 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation. No on‑call duties.
Collaborate with three vets, nursing and reception staff, and a regional manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality nursing care and continually improve standards.
- Assist the veterinarian in theatre and during consultations as required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalization records and accurate documentation of hospitalized patients.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets.
- Keep equipment clean, sterilised, and properly stored.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets, consumables, and place orders with suppliers to required levels.
- Assist with induction and training of new staff.
- Perform reception duties, handling client interactions in person, by email and telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor.
Schedule & Rotation
Rotations include two bank holidays per year at Mandeville Hospital. Hospital services include a 24‑hour facility with advanced diagnostics.
