We are looking for confident and experienced future colleagues who ideally already come from a veterinary nursing assistant background, that are now ready to start their journey as student veterinary nurses, with Goddard Vet Group at our very own Nursing College.
About the role
We currently have 1 position for an April cohort at the below site:
- Harrow – Monday to Friday plus 1:3 Saturdays between Harrow and Wembley
The Level 3 student positions are full‑time consisting of 40 hours per week with varying shifts and includes your weekly college day, plus a regular weekend rotation. Once qualified and if in a branch position you will be included in a 1:10 Sunday rotation in your nearest 24-hour hospital, in addition to the standard branch Saturday rotation.
The role is varied, involving a high level of client care which includes reception duties, the cleaning and upkeep of the practice and its equipment/facilities, and of course the hands‑on patient care. You will be working alongside experienced and compassionate teams who understand the need for investing time and training into our future registered nurses.
If you were successful in moving into an RVN position once qualified, we offer a very generous salary banding and benefits package, and as a Goddard Vet Group veterinary nurse you will have ample opportunity for further development and growth within the company. You will be fully supported by dedicated tutors who have all worked in practice themselves and can relate to your role and studies.
Please note once the Level 3 course is complete and you have successfully qualified, there is not a guarantee of an RVN position in your training practice or with the group (although we want to retain as many of our trained RVNs as possible!). Your manager will explore what options there are on the lead up to your qualification.
What we offer you
The salary for the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing position from April is £26,436.80.
To be considered for this training position you will need GCSEs in English, Maths and Science grade C/4 and above or equivalent, plus two additional GCSEs; other qualifications may be considered and will be reviewed on application. Previous experience within the animal industry is advantageous.
