An exciting opportunity to take charge of this ambitious and long-established visitor attraction and ensure it continues to deliver meaningful commercial, social and environmental value whilst seeking new and innovative ways to grow and expand its operations.

  • THE POSITION
  • Take full financial, commercial and strategic responsibility for the business and work closely with the family owners to ensure long-term growth.

Inspire, motivate and mentor the senior leadership and wider team, and ensure the operation remains an employer of choice in the local and wider community.

  • Develop a new long-term business plan.

Manage financial budgeting, appraisal and reporting across the different business units.

Closely participate in the management of major projects and schemes.

  • Work closely with each business unit to optimise performance and identify compelling new opportunities, whilst preserving the business’ values and character.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business to ensure positive working relationships with the local and wider community.

Manage external stakeholders including commercial partners, consultants and local authority representatives.

  • THE CANDIDATE
  • Charismatic, inspirational and entrepreneurially minded Chief Executive Officer likely to have evolved their skills and experience within the visitor attractions, theme parks, leisure & hospitality, tourism and / or family entertainment sector.
  • Creative and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in evolving the visitor experience, especially for the young.

The appointee should have the ability to see the farm through the eyes of a child and anticipate what will help them to learn, spark their imagination and encourage their sense of adventure.

  • Strong leadership qualities, as well as possessing the self-awareness and humility to negotiate successful outcomes for key stakeholders.
